An Engineer in East Africa

This is the journal of my trip Tanzania and Kenya in March 2000, organized by location and day of the month. As of 2000-04-21, I'm still not finished scanning my best photographs and recording my memories. Nevertheless, I wanted to share some amazing sights:

sunrise on Mt. Kilimanjaro,
the Tarangire River valley,
more than five dozen different species on the safari circuit,
a baboon chasing a leopard on the Serengeti,
sunrise and moonrise over the Indian Ocean,
and more.

I took most of my photographs of east Africa in three areas:
on Mt. Kilimanjaro,	on safari, and	near Mombasa.
The remainder of my trip was in
Arusha, Nairobi, or a vehicle (e.g., the Nairobi-Mombasa and Mombasa-Nairobi train, or the Seattle-Moshi and Nairobi-Seattle plane).
