Although I have only tried the breakfast menu, it was enough to convince me of this restaurant's high quality.
The Huevos Rancheros were perfectly cooked with a spicy red chile sauce on top (but not as spicy as
found farther
west in New Mexico), with ham on the side and the requisite beans and flour tortilla. The beans were too runny
and the tortilla was not award-winning quality, but overall this was among the best huevos rancheros I've eaten.
Many patrons were eating caldo de res that looked to be the same quality as that which is served in El Paso. The restaurant advertises that it is "Authentic--No Tex-Mex," and this is proven both by the menu selection and the quality. The only thing I did not like was that there were no enchiladas on the menu. This would be a good place for tacos and different kinds of meats. |
