Great Kids!

 The Skills Ride Event

This event is fun for both participant and audience.  The kiddos display their talents gained throughout the year.  Obstacles included range from a Balance Beam to a Teeter Totter. For more information, please click Here to read the Course Overview and rules.

 Quiz Bowl

The Quiz Bowl event is very much like the old Game Show "the Family Feud".....except  without the feuding!

Each member is seated at the table with  other members who are all asked a question.  The first one to hit the buzzer and answer the question correctly gets the points!

All questions are based on ORV use and are available in Word Format here:

                           Seniors

                          Intermediates

                           Juniors

Now we may sneak in a couple of questions that aren't on the list -- ooh those surprise questions - ya gotta love em!

We will also be reformatting these and placing in PDF files soon.

Fitting and Showing

This event inspects the vehicles and the gear of each rider.  Their Motorcycles or ATV's are inspected for safety, cleanliness, and the riders knowledge of their machinery.

The riders must also have their tool kits with necessary items .

Riders will also be scored on a judging competition.  Judging will be on items used with ORV's.    Each member will be asked to compare 3 to 4 items and state best to worse condition of each.  This can be a safety judgment or conditional judgment.  Members will often be asked questions like "what is the name of this item?"  "Where would you find this item?"  These items often includes parts, tools, and sometimes measurements.

 Posters or Displays

Members produce Safety orientated displays or Posters to be displayed during the fair at the 4H Motorcycle/ATV booth.

The Posters should be regular poster board size, with a border.  Text and Pictures should be legible from 10 feet away.

We've seen some awesome posters in the past- so keep them coming!

  Booth Duty

Each member is asked to spend  4 hours tending the booth.  This allows for the members to confirm the knowledge they have acquired.  People often have many questions about our club.  Our members explain how the club came about, where we meet and what happens in the meetings.

Members, of course, also get the opportunity to inform the public of just how great their riding skills are!

Oh and Don't forget the Parking Rules and Regulations!  Read Them!

Don't miss the next one!
