Prior to our wedding, I included an on-line version of our wedding invitation in a relatively private corner of this web site, for my on-line friends. We created the invitation ourselves, using blank invitations we purchased at a paper supply store, Fiske Planetarium's direction graphic, artwork by Kris, and layout by Beth (Michael's sister). Had Beth's laser printer been working at the time, we would also have printed them ourselves, but instead had to outsource that portion.
Now I reveal to you, a few years after the fact, the finished product.
This is what the invitation looked like before you opened it.

This is what the invitation looked like inside.

Inside the invitation was an insert on grey parchment paper. On the left is Kris (around 1 year old) and on the right is Michael (around 18 months). These images were drawn by Kris, based on actual baby pictures. Beth then scanned in the pencil drawings and framed them.

The back side of the insert included a map to the planetarium and a phone contact (which I have erased in the current on-line version) regarding gifts and such. The graphic is a standard one used by the planetarium in their advertising.
