This fascinating and educational book is roughly about the areas including the states of Arizona and New Mexico; southeastern California; southern parts of Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and Kansas; and western parts of Oklahoma and Texas. The author discusses the wide variety of features of the Southwest, including valleys, plains, prairies, cities, mountains, canyons, plateaus and deserts. The writing is excellent, and you are probably already aware of the outstanding and beautiful National Geographic photography.
