you can be true
to that little you
you'll find someone
who loves you

that part of the dream
will come true
you find a way
that you can love

we can be helped
hell isn't that strong
we can still care
rewarded by the Spirit
not the flesh

and so it was
I'm reminded:
the Absolute talking to me
in a sadly forgotten childhood
bewildered weathered playground scheme
softened voice of the Father
now known
as such

love says,
"If a person isn't loving
and kind, it shows
that they don't know Me
For I am love."

I know
when I close my eyes
there is someone there
on the other side
who loves me deeply

it's good to ask
to use me today to bring light
into the world
such an activity
brings such repaying

to let the secret springtime
of the wisdom in people ferment!

the most amazing resurrections
we get down here

walk the streets of these heavens we get down here
in the fashion of a Norman Vincent Peale
walk on glitter
with dignity on our clothes
walk with memories
of making others happier people

take down by our hand facets of death
smash degeneration
by the great and bright
comforted
anointing life
all around earth

witnessing love
as I lie back
oh, this the beginning of seasons
of comfort
a dedication the positive in art

the Renaissance begins anew
revitalize heights of painterly past

accomplishments in high technique to
tell of mercy bright.
unable to deal falsely
with selfishnesses' deluded rights
to empires of carnal comparison

and if by prayer artists could receive great art
it tingling upon their souls to flesh
and such works become the respect of men
who gives this measure out
bringing up light on virtue by a gift?

wisdom dwelling in our veins
adeptness in our brains
because wisdom gives to those who ask
a little now
a little later

I see all points of contact
coming from this hub

let a sun scene appear
with gems for grains
it tells of a comfort
that echoes time's believers

those who disbelieve see it
and trade in their scoffs for prayers
let the saving ground
of the after-death state be theirs

this is where word collisions begin
the soft words of mercy
such words bring mercy

to paintings of self-doubt
vague self-hatred
begin, we have begun

and we end one stage
smiling at music
confounded at past depression
who were you when you were young?
when you had the power to dream
when you could
believe that you would be
famous and loved?
famous and needed?

you can't believe
you will ever be so needed, and
you put to death
that part of you
that saw yourself as so good
among men
what was the risk of keeping it alive?
starvation?

whatever is spiritually absolute
will speak out to us
in signs, in directions
perhaps subtly given but at least
in the fruits of our life
as alcohol and drug abuse
often speaks out its signs
in the homeless, jailed and insane

all earth ever wanted was love
warm clouds relishing sweet dreams
it can be so real
passion for all people for all good things
yet animal hunger cries so

I saw few were aware
of even being alive
of their own power
to stamp out injustice

full of pride, I intone
this society no longer has
not often enough
such divine customs
