⚠️ Important Notice

Nearly two years after the debut of WOZNIAC‑1 on the App Store, WOZNIAC‑1 and WOZNIAC‑68 were removed from the App Store by Apple on April 10, 2026 under Guideline 5.2.1. This issue began last September, when I submitted an update timed with the release of iOS 26 and macOS 26. That update included compatibility fixes for the new operating systems, several small interface improvements, and new Mac Catalyst variants to support Intel‑based Macs. During the review of that update, Apple raised new concerns but did not identify any specific text, asset, or metadata element that required modification.

Guideline 5.2.1 relates to the use of third‑party intellectual property. On December 22, 2025, App Review stated that the apps created a “misleading association with Apple,” but no specific text, asset, or metadata element was identified. The apps contain original code and assets, along with public‑domain and open‑source materials used under appropriate licenses, and both apps include explicit disclaimers to avoid any possibility of confusion.

Over the months that followed, I repeatedly asked Apple to identify the specific issue so I could address it. No actionable detail was ever provided, and the apps were ultimately removed under Guideline 5.2.1 without clarification about what element Apple believes is non‑compliant. I have now escalated the matter through the appropriate channels and am waiting for written clarification so I can resolve the issue and restore the apps.

If you already downloaded either app, your copy will continue to work normally. Nothing has changed in the versions you have installed, and your purchase remains fully valid. You can also reinstall the apps from your App Store purchase history at any time. The removal affects only the App Store listing, not the functionality of the apps on your device. I will post updates as soon as Apple provides the information needed to move forward.
