Troubleshooting tips -
Problem:
Shockwave doesn't work, crashing.
Fix: Sad
to say, Macromedia's Shockwave updaters are notoriously buggy; they sometimes
don't properly remove the old Shockwave before installing the new, resulting
in some sort of dysfunctional hybrid. The best solution is to manually remove
any existing installation of Shockwave first, then install the current
version from scratch. Fortunately, this is easy to do:
- Download & run the appropriate
uninstaller (provided by Macromedia):
- Windows users click this link: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/uninstall/uninstaller.exe
- MAC users click this one: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/uninstall/uninstaller.hqx
- All clean! Now install Shockwave

Problem:
You said you updated the album & added some pictures, but all I see are
the same ones I saw before.
Fix: The
first time you viewed the album, all of the images were downloaded as individual
files & stored in your browser's cache; you'll see these same images on
subsequent viewings. To make sure you're seeing the most current travelogue,
clear your browswer's cache as follows:
- Internet Explorer 5 users:
- Tools:Internet Options ...
(in
older versions of IE you'll find Internet Options under another
menu; Edit, I think).
- Click the Delete Files button
to clear all temporary internet files (may take a while if you haven't
done this recently).
- Netscape 6 users:
- Edit:Preferences ...
- In the Category box, click
the triangle next to "Advanced" to show the options.
- Click on the word "Cache."
- Click the Clear Disk Cache
button.
