Mail Lists Using Smartlist<\/span><\/p>\n

For list manage, we use<\/span> Smartlist<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Lists are located in \/usr\/smartlist.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can access them from any of<\/span> Our Shell Servers<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Smartlists are located in \/usr\/smartlist on any shell server.\u00a0 Please click on the above link for shell servers that are available.\u00a0 \u00a0You can access with ssh, ‘ssh user@server.eskimo.com’.<\/span><\/p>\n

To create a new list please send e-mail to<\/span> support@eskimo.com<\/a> and request it’s creation or alternately submit a ticket<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The main thing to know is once you cd \/usr\/smartlst you can see a list of lists with ls.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then cd to YOUR list by cd listname.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now another ls will show you a list of files.\u00a0 rc.init is the main file that controls the behavior of the list.\u00a0 Most options are commented.\u00a0 You can edit this file with any standard text editor such as pico or vim.<\/span><\/p>\n

The other most import file is ‘dist’.\u00a0 This is a list of users who will receive mail from this list and with the default configuration that the list will accept mail from.\u00a0 This default can be changed in rc.init so that you only accept mail from some members.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
