Eudora Setup<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This applies to Eudora OSE only.\u00a0 Earlier versions do not have support for chained certificates and so can not take advantage of SSL\/TLS.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Open Eudora.<\/span>

  2. In the Tools pull-down menu, select Account Settings.<\/span>\"eudora-ose-2\"<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Near the bottom of the left paine there is a small pull-down menu labelled Account Actions. Select Add Mail Account from this pull-down menu.<\/span>\"eudora-ose-3\"<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. In the Mail Account Setup window that pops up, fill in your name, <\/span>e-mail address, and password. If your computer is private and secure, <\/span>then I also suggest that you check the Save Password box below. If you do <\/span>not check Save Password, then you will be prompted for your password each <\/span>time you send and retrieve e-mail. After you fill these in, press the <\/span>Continue button.<\/span>If you are using an eskimo.net address, put your address in as <\/span>eskimo.com so that the auto-configure will find the correct servers, then <\/span>change it after auto-configuration has completed.<\/span>\"eudora-ose-4\"<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. At this point Eudora has found the server and ports and selected <\/span>working settings. These settings will result in a fully encrypted e-mail <\/span>session. At this point you can push the Create Account button and you are <\/span>done! You can make your mail session authenticate just a fraction of a<\/span> second faster by selecting Manual Configure and then changing the incoming <\/span>port to 993 and the encryption to SSL\/TLS, however it will function just <\/span>fine as is.<\/span>\"eudora-ose-5\"<\/span><\/li>\n
