This possum sat on the back of the pine log bench for an hour while we took our morning walk. Other small critters in the garden include raccoons, skunks, coyotes, rabbits, and squirrels.

Because housing developments have grown around us, we no longer have the larger animals in the garden, but a cougar wandered into our bank parking lot, and I totalled by truck in a confrontation with a huge bull elk at the edge of town.
