This species prefers open shade. There is always a delicate balance between too much shade and not enough. The sole blossom above could be evidence of too dark a location. I moved the plant to a new bed where it receives late afternoon sun--maybe too much, but does have the shade of other plants for much of the day. We'll see how it does.
