Bamboo Bridge

* Design and Construction * Finished Bridge in Winter *

The bamboo bridge is one of the entrances to the bamboo garden. Like the rhododendron furniture, it uses other woods for flat surfaces to accend its namesake wood. (In the future, I will try an all-bamboo bench using wrapped black cord.)

The bridge is narrow to slow the visitor down before entering, and to examine the bamboo closeup. The pickets are easily removable to facilitate replacement, a different pattern, or change among black, gold, or green bamboo. Rails flare out to accomodate the narrow deck and to expose more of the pickets.
