Rhododendron Bench #9 and #7, the Ladder Bench, are placed at corners of the cultivated area (herb and vegetable gardens and propagation area) to give views during work breaks. Both benches are large, to define the edge of this section. Bench #9 has three tables for meals and drinks. Another large rhododendron has since been planted behind the seatback at right. The area in front of that bench will be raised for footrest height. I am still deciding whether to have a multi-level mini-deck or sloping ground.
