Indian Point is a vertical basalt promentory above the Columbia River. Freezing and thawing over the centuries eroded it to its present shape and left cracked and loose chunks on its surface. We decided not to try this hike since we didn't have the right shoes and have still retained some of our sanity.
Others have had the right shoes.
A narrow saddle leads to the final face.

Tunnel Falls is an unusual hike in that you actually walk through a tunnel under the falls. It also has steel cables attached to the rock face so you don't fall off the cliff.
The trail to Tunnel Falls is 12 miles out and back. Even with its length, it is very popular because of its unique features. There are numerous waterfalls, given the combination of basalt cliffs and rainforest. Here are a few:
One of the first you come to is Metlako Falls. You can kayak this one if you are so inclined, or just rappel down the cliff for a better view.
The best views of Loowit Falls are from High Bridge, which crosses about 100 feet above the creek.
However, a tree fell on high bridge and closed this trail for at least a year.
