Tunnel Falls Hike
Tunnel Falls is an unusual hike in that you actually walk through a tunnel under the falls.  It also has steel cables attached to the rock face so you don't fall off the cliff.
The trail to Tunnel Falls is 12 miles out and back. Even with its length, it is very popular because of its unique features.  There are numerous waterfalls, given the combination of basalt cliffs and rainforest.  Here are a few:
One of the first you come to is Metlako Falls.  You can kayak this one if you are so inclined, or just rappel down the cliff for a better view.
Punchbowl Falls
Loowit Falls
The best views of Loowit Falls are from High Bridge, which crosses about 100 feet above the creek.
However, a tree fell on high bridge and closed this trail for at least a year.
Skoonichuck Falls
Tenas Falls
4 1/2 Mile Bridge
Wy'east Falls
Twister Falls
Of coure the goal of this hike is Tunnel Falls itself.  With 165 feet of sheer drop and its namesake tunnel underneath, it is a one-of-a-kind experience.
Trail guides warn of the falling danger on this trail.  Some of more precarious places have cable rails embedded in the rock, but it is often crowded here with two-way traffic.
For the more intrepid, you can continue over The Potholes, walking on the tops of columnar basalt,
and on to the stretch known as Vertigo Mile.
