Hello Folks,
My name is Mark and I use a Life Care PLV 100 on my green chariote,
(motorized wheelchair) The settings are Assist Control, Volume 800
Breaths Per Minute 10 IE ratio 1:2, my presure goes from 30 to 35. It
goes to 40 to 45 when I am congested from an infection, (which is one a
year.) At night, I use a Life Care PLV 102. The settings are Assist
Control/Sigh, Volume 1100, Presure 30 to 35, Breaths Per Minute 10,
IE ratio of 1:2, I also use humididification at night.
Like Annette I also have a collapsed lower lobe in my left lung
requiring diferent unusual settings. I had a chest tube in March of 1984
when my whole left lung was collapsed. I am lucky to have any capacity
at all in my left lung. I occasionaly require a breathing mist treatment
of Alupent when ever I get bronchial spasms. Like Annette said everybody
is different.
Take Care
