I've had it quite few times! Its simple, like a suction catheter! I have had
granulated "scar" tissue build up! Actually was from wrong trach curve! At that
time I had a Shiley trach. too rigid for me! I then a custom trach. made by
Bivona silicone trach. still use em" today!
My DR. got rid of my scared tissue with steroids for a week or two!! I remember
you saying your drainage gauze was uncomfortable? It reminds me of when I had
the wrong trach. in .. I used to cough allot when i changed my gauze too! need
suctioning every ten mins.! How smooth is it when you run a cath. down
trach."any resistance"? That's how I knew also blood spots can occur! I did on
me!! I thought I would share my experience!!
