Living in the Real World…

Living in the real world is proving to be a challenge.  I’ve come back to a business that has about a third of the customer base that I had when I went in.  I’ve put a great deal of effort into trying to bring this into the modern era but in the last eight months I’ve only managed to hold it steady, no real growth in spite of covering the phones, greatly expanding the shell service, upgrading a lot of the infrastructure, including file servers, DNS servers, and web servers.

I really would like to get some solid sense of community back like we had in the distant past but nothing seems to be working.  I’m open to suggestions.

The experience I had in Shelton, sometimes that seems to fade when everything is going wrong, collectors are harassing me and I don’t have the funds to pay them, or I’m stressing on whether or not I’m going to be able to keep things going, and can’t afford to get out of here once in a while.

At times I just feel incredibly tired, yet sleep doesn’t come easy.  If some visible results for the effort I’ve made thus far were present, it would be easier to press on, but sometimes it’s not easy to see much results.

Romans 8:28 tells us that all things work together for the good of those who love God, to those who are called according to his purposes, but that’s hard to see sometimes looking forward, easier in retrospect but not so easy looking forward.
