{"id":1917,"date":"2015-05-07T16:53:56","date_gmt":"2015-05-08T00:53:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eskimo.com\/~nanook\/nook\/?p=1917"},"modified":"2015-05-07T16:53:56","modified_gmt":"2015-05-08T00:53:56","slug":"downtown-to-soho-from-magnolia-bluff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eskimo.com\/~nanook\/2015\/05\/07\/downtown-to-soho-from-magnolia-bluff\/","title":{"rendered":"Downtown to Soho from Magnolia Bluff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #400050;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This is a slightly better version of a similar image I posted earlier.\u00a0 I bracketed exposure a lot and refocused between each shot, and stopped the lens down as much as possible with a 30 second exposure at 100 ASA at might in order to get the sharpest cleanest image I could.\u00a0 This camera (A Rebel 300D) has a bunch of hot pixels, but I&#8217;ve cleaned up this image in Gimp so this picture is clean. The sky is a little brighter and the moon more saturated, but it shows up the trees better.\u00a0 I need to set a low contrast profile for night shooting with this camera. Every time I go out and shoot I learn something new, realize something I should have done or could have done better.\u00a0 The last camera I had was a point and shoot.\u00a0 This is a lot more work but also a lot more flexible.
