{"id":713,"date":"2015-03-07T13:29:24","date_gmt":"2015-03-07T21:29:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eskimo.com\/~nanook\/nook\/?p=713"},"modified":"2015-03-07T13:29:24","modified_gmt":"2015-03-07T21:29:24","slug":"doll-parts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eskimo.com\/~nanook\/2015\/03\/07\/doll-parts\/","title":{"rendered":"Doll Parts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: 11pt; color: #800000;\">A lot of people dis <strong>Courtney Love<\/strong> but I like her because I think she writes and sings <strong>honestly<\/strong>.\u00a0 So much of the tripe that passes as popular music these days is just things people want to hear, not truth, not reality.\u00a0 <strong>Reality is often painful<\/strong> and <strong>most people would rather live in some fantasy<\/strong> than face that reality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: 11pt; color: #800000;\">One of those realities that I think is spoken of in this song is people often love you for what they can get from you, not for who you are.\u00a0 And that love isn&#8217;t real and as soon as they no longer get what they want they abandon you.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve had people in my life like this and they&#8217;ve caused a lot of heartache, and I know I&#8217;ve treated some people like this and caused them a lot of heartache and often those people have been the same.\u00a0 I&#8217;m deeply sorry for the heartache I&#8217;ve caused others.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: 11pt; color: #800000;\">Fortunately, God has also put some real good people in my life, people who loved me in spite of my imperfections, and not for something I have, and I&#8217;m very grateful for them.
