ASIA ---- 3W: A few days ago 3W1AS called me on 20 meters CW. The OM Wang from Hanoi said W3RGD is his manager and seems to be genuine. Other HAMs told me also that they worked a station signing 3W1AS. Wang wants to be very active on 20 meters and tries also to become QRV on 40m. EX: Mario, DL4MFM, DJ5BA, DK7ZT and DL8OBQ will work again from the Kirghiz Republic (ex UM) this year from October 25 till November 1. They are announcing there DXpedition already now because Mario made the offer to take all QSLs for EX stations with him which arrive at his post box until October 24, 1995. The reason is that the mail does not arrive 100 percent sure in EX and that QSLs via bureau also do not arrive in Kirghiz Republic. By the way DL4MFM is also the manager for EX2M. More information will follow. ZC4: Vasek, OK1ADM, and his friends OK1RF and OK1RI are planning an activity as ZC4C from August 6-18. They will take part in the WAE CW Contest and before and after the contest they promised to be QRV on all HF bands. QSL via OK1RI. AMERICA ------- C6: Chuck, KG9N, will be QRV from Abaco Island with 100 watts and a R7 vertical including his participation in the WAE CW Contest from August 11-18. QSL via homecall. EUROPE ------ GJ: Wolfgang, GJ/DL9ZBG/p and Juergen, GJ/DL2ZAE/p, became QRV from Jersey Island on July 17. They are working with a TS850, 3 ele beam for 20m/15m/10m, a GP DX2000 for all HF bands and dipoles for 80m and 40m. They will work in CW/SSB/RTTY until July 28. Let us see and wait. 5A1A announced at last his official QSL information. QSLs for CW are going via LZ2UA (like mentioned in DX-NL 951) but all SSB cards are managed by OM3JW. Address see below. OM3JW stated that 5A1A is expected to go QRT in the afternoon of July 22. However the group is still very active on the HAM bands. Rumours say that they missed their ferry. The possibility is also that after the end of their activity some resident HAMs could work with the call of this new clubstation. PY0TUP Dieter, OE2DYL, will once again help with PY0TUP cards. Everybody who still needs a card from this station should send following things to Dieter until August 1, 1995: - his QSL for PY0TUP - EU: 1 green stamp + 2 IRC + SAE - US/JA: 2 green stamps + 2 IRC + SAE. Address see below. YS1ZV Karl is very active on all bands in SSB/CW and will stay in El Salvador for three years. QSL via KB5IPQ. DXCC At the same time the DXAC voted against the addition of Scarbo- rough Reef to the DXCC Countries List they voted 15:1 that no decision will be made in the moment about the DXCC status of Aruba (P4) which will separate from the Netherland Antilles in the near future.
