1980  Released Bingo Smith and Raymond Townsend.

1991  Signed 2nd round draft pick Mike Iuzzolino to a 2 year contract.

1991  Signed Jim Grandholm and Joao Vianna to 1 year contracts.

1997  The city of Dallas, the Mavs, and the Stars reached an agreement 
      on a new arena.  The city council voted on the agreement 5 days 
      later.

2003  Dallas released Rod Gregoire.

2004  New Jersey signed Dallas free agent Travis Best to a 1 year,
      partially guaranteed contract.  Best was not part of Dallas' 
      04-05 plans.

2005  Signed Erick Strickland, Samo Udrih, and Kaniel Dickens for 
      training camp.  None would make the 05-06 roster.

2007  Devean George had a stress reaction in his left foot and would 
      miss all of preseason.  He would appear in his first game of the 
      season on 12/6/07.
