1999  Director of Communications Tony Fay resigned.  Fay had been with
      the Mavs since 1987.

2003  Announced they would keep their 2003 2nd round draft pick (#57).  
      As a result, Dallas' 2nd round draft pick for 2004 would go to 
      Miami as completion of the Tim Hardaway trade from 2001.

2004  Left Tariq Abdul-Wahad, Tony Delk, Danny Fortson, and Antoine 
      Walker off their protected list for the Charlotte Bobcats expansion
      draft that would take place June 22.  None of the 4 were selected
      in the expansion draft.

2006  The NBA fined Shaquille O'Neal $10,000 and fined Miami $25,000 for
      O'Neal failing to make himself available to the media following the
      6/11/06 Dal-Mia Game 2.
