1990  Named Bob Zuffelato as an assistant coach.

1993  Named Stu Innan as consultant.

2006  Activated DJ Mbenga and placed Josh Powell on IL.  Mbenga had missed
      the previous 6 games while serving a suspension.  Powell would miss
      the last 2 games of the playoffs.

2009  Announced that the NBADL team Colorado 14ers will relocate to Frisco
      and play in the Dr. Pepper Arena starting in 2010-11. Mavs GM Donnie 
      Nelson would be the principal owner and operator of the team.

  Jerry Stackhouse did not play due to serving a 1 game suspension.
  Josh Howard suffered a strained hamstring during the 2nd quarter and got
    treatment during halftime and continued to play.
  Miami shot 9-18 FT and Dallas shot 0-0 FT in the 3rd quarter.
  Dirk Nowitzki fed Erick Dampier for the dunk with 10 seconds left in the
    4th quarter to give Dallas a 93-91 lead.  Dwyane Wade (Mia) hit a short
    fade away with 2.8 seconds left.  Jason Terry missed at the buzzer and 
    the game went in to overtime.  Wade (Mia) scored 17 points in the 4th 
    quarter - all but 6 of Miami's 23 4th quarter points.  Nowitzki hit a 
    tough fade away shot with 9.1 seconds left to give Dallas a 100-99 
    lead.  Wade (Mia) was fouled driving (a very questionable call) and 
    hit 2 free throws with 1.9 seconds left.  Dallas was signaling for a 
    timeout between the 2 free throws and the ref ruled that they were 
    calling for the timeout right then, not for the timeout to occur after
    the 2nd free throw, so Dallas was given the timeout, their last.  
    Devin Harris' halfcourt heave wasn't close.
  It was a very poorly officiated game, led by ref Bennette Salvatore.
  Miami shot 32-49 FT and Dallas shot 21-25 FT.
  Neither team had a block in the game - the 3rd time in the playoffs
    Dallas did not have a blocked shot and the 4th time an opponent had 
    no blocks in the playoffs.
  Miami became the 2nd team since the league went to the 2-3-2 format for
    the Finals to sweep the middle 3 games.
  Wade (Mia) shot 21-25 FT, setting the NBA Finals record for free throws
    made and setting the Dallas opponent playoff record for free throws 
    made and attempted.
  Wade (Mia) had 43 points, the 11th time a Mav opponent had 40+ points 
    in the playoffs and the 2nd of 2 times that Wade had 40+ points
    against Dallas.
  Shaquille O'Neal (Mia) had 18 points including 2-12 FT and 12 rebounds.
  Jason Terry had 35 points including 4-9 3-pointers, Josh Howard had 25
    points including 9-11 FT and 10 rebounds, and Nowitzki had 20 points 
    and 8 rebounds.
