1981  Signed Scott Lloyd to a 2 year contract extension, making him signed
      through 83-84.

2006  Signed free agent Greg Buckner to a 3 year, $10.5 million 
      contract with 2 more option years worth $9 million (the 1st at 
      the team's option and the 2nd at the player's option). 

2006  Re-signed DJ Mbenga to a 3 year contract.

2007  Re-signed Jerry Stackhouse to a 3 year, $21 million contract. 

2010  Traded Erick Dampier, Eduardo Najera, Matt Carroll, and cash to 
      Charlotte for Tyson Chandler and Alexis Ajinca. 

2010  Signed Ian Mahinmi to a 2 year, minimum contract. 

2010  Signed 1st round draft pick (#25) Dominique Jones to a 2 year, 
      $2,303,400 contract with 2 more years worth $3,575,645 at the 
      team's option.

2011  At the 19th annual ESPY Awards (ESPN), the Dallas Mavericks were
      named as Best Team, Rick Carlisle was named as Best Coach, and Dirk
      Nowitzki was named as Best NBA Player and Best Male Athlete. 

2012  Dallas made the winning bid for amnestied player Elton Brand at 
      for a reported 1 year, $2.1 million contract.  Philadelphia, whom 
      had previously used the amnesty clause to release Brand, still 
      had to pay Brand $16 million ($18.1 million minus Dallas' salary) 
      for the final year of his contract, but that amount did not count 
      against Philadelphia's salary cap or luxury tax.  For a player 
      that was amnestied, teams could make a blind bid for that player 
      and the highest bid would get the player.

2012  Signed New Orleans free agent Chris Kaman to a 1 year, $8 million 
      contract. 

2013  Reached a 3 year, $25 million contract agreement with Milwaukee 
      free agent Monta Ellis.  The contract would be signed 7/23/13.

2015  Sacramento signed Dallas free agent Rajon Rondo to a 1 year, $10 
      million contract.
