1999  Leon Smith was kicked out of summer camp practice for failing to
      obey instructions during a defensive drill.

2004  Re-signed Marquis Daniels to a 6 year, $38,587,500 contract, with
      the 6th year at Dallas' option.

2004  Signed rookie free agent DJ Mbenga to a 2 year, $1.68 million
      contract.

2004  Phoenix signed Dallas free agent Steve Nash to a 5 year, $65 
      million contract with a partially guaranteed 6th year.  Nash played
      the previous 6 season with Dallas.

2009  Orlando matched Dallas' 5 year, $33,953,200 offer sheet to
      restricted free agent Marcin Gortat.  Thus Gortat remains with 
      the Magic.

2012  Charlotte made the winning bid for Dallas amnestied player Brendan 
      Haywood for a reported $6 million ($2 million per year) for the 
      remaining 3 years of Haywood's contract.  Dallas would still pay
      Haywood the salary they owed him, minus the $2 million Charlotte 
      would be paying, but Haywood would no longer count against Dallas'
      salary cap or luxury tax. 

2014  Traded the rights to 2008 draft pick (#53) Tadija Dragicevic to 
      Chicago for Greg Smith.

2015  Signed Deron Williams to a 2 year, $10 million contract with the 
      2nd year at the player's option. 

2015  Indiana signed Dallas free agent Monta Ellis to a 4 year, $44 
      million contract. 

2016  Signed rookie free agent Nicolas Brussino.
