1997  Signed free agent Hubert Davis to a 6 year contract.

2001  Reached a verbal agreement with Dirk Nowitzki for a 6 year,
      maximum extension.  The extension was not be formally signed until
      10/23/01.

2003  Made the 1 year contract to Marquis Daniels guaranteed.
