Ross Perot announced that coach Jim Cleamons will be back next year.
I am surprised at the vote of confidence, but not that it is coming from
Perot and not from Don Nelson (who is in Phoenix for the Nike Desert
Classic) [I have to wonder how much Nelson supports the decision].
Hopefully Don Nelson will get in Cleamons' face and convince him to start
coaching to the talent instead of the system for next season. I know at
least one player, though not talking about it publically, who is very
unhappy with Cleamons' half-court system (and, yes, it is a key player).

Dallas named Terdema Ussery as president and chief executive officer.
Ussery recently served as president of Nike Sports Management and was the
CBA commissioner from 1991 into 1993. Ussery will also help in the
struggle to finally get a new arena. [Reading Ussery's history and
background is very impressive. He is a "do'er" and will make things
happen.]

Dallas released Greg Dreiling.
