5/27 Dirk Nowitzki underwent successful dental surgery.
5/20 Keith Van Horn did not play in Game 6 vs Phoenix, Game 5 at 
     Phoenix, Game 4 vs Phoenix, Game 3 vs Phoenix, Game 2 at Phoenix, 
     Game 1 at Phoenix, Game 7 vs Houston, Game 6 at Houston, Game 5 
     vs Houston, or Game 4 at Houston due to a sprained left ankle.
5/2 The MRI showed that Keith Van Horn has a 2nd degree lateral
    sprained ankle and he is expected to be out 2 weeks.
4/28 Keith Van Horn suffered a serious sprained left ankle during the
     2nd quarter of Game 3 vs Houston and did not return.
4/19 Jason Terry did not play in the Seattle game due to a sprained
     right ankle.
4/14 Dirk Nowitzki did not play in the Portland game due to a sore
     left shoulder.
4/9 Erick Dampier received 3 stitches to close a cut on his chin
    during the 1st quarter of the Utah game.  He returned to action 
    later in the game.
3/13 Don Nelson did not coach the Minnesota, Milwaukee, or Lakers 
     games due to attending to his wife, who is recovering from surgery.
3/11 Josh Howard only played the first few minutes of the Milwaukee
     game due to a sprained left ankle.
3/10 Jerry Stackhouse did not play in the Lakers game due to a
     strained right groin.
3/7 Dirk Nowitzki (sprained left knee), Michael Finley (bruised left 
    calf), and Jerry Stackhouse (strained right groin) did not play 
    in the Toronto game.
3/6 Dirk Nowitzki (sprained left knee) and Michael Finley (bruised
    left calf) did not play in the Houston game.
3/4 Michael Finley did not play in the LA Lakers game due to a left
    calf contusion.
2/28 Jerry Stackhouse did not play in the New Orleans, Phoenix, 
     Sacramento, or Utah games due to a strained right groin.
2/22 Erick Dampier has a stress fracture in his right foot and is
     expected to be out 2 to 3 weeks.
2/17 Jerry Stackhouse (strained right groin), Marquis Daniels
     (appendectomy), and Erick Dampier (strained tendon right foot) 
     did not play in the Phoenix, Seattle, or Golden State games.
2/15 Jerry Stackhouse (strained right groin) and Marquis Daniels
     (appendectomy) did not play in the Seattle or Golden State games.
2/11 Marquis Daniels did not play in the Sacramento game due to an
     appendectomy.
2/8 Marquis Daniels (appendectomy) and Jerry Stackhouse (strained
    right groin) did not play in the Chicago games.
2/6 Marquis Daniels did not play in the Indiana or Toronto games due 
    to an appendectomy.
2/4 Marquis Daniels underwent an appendectomy on Friday.  He was
    hospitalized for 6 hours in Indiana with abdominal pain on 
    Thursday and flew back to Dallas on Friday.
1/29 Josh Howard did not play in the Clippers, Portland, or
     Philadelphia games due to back spasms.
1/23 Josh Howard left the Denver game during the 1st quarter due to
     back spasms.
1/20 Don Nelson underwent successful surgery on his right shoulder
     to repair his torn rotator cuff.  He was released from the 
     hospital and is resting at home.
1/15 Josh Howard did not play in the New Jersey game due to an
     upper respiratory infection.
1/14 Josh Howard (upper respiratory infection) and Erick Dampier
     (right knee contusion) did not play in the San Antonio game.
1/12 Josh Howard (upper respiratory infection) and Marquis Daniels
     (sore left ankle) did not play in the Houston game.
1/8 Josh Howard played limited minutes in the Indiana game due to
    the flu.
1/8 Marquis Daniels did not play in the Boston, Milwaukee, LA Lakers,
    or Indiana games due to a sore left ankle.
1/3 Dallas development coach Kelvin Upshaw suffered a torn right ACL
    during a team scrimmage.
12/26 Jerry Stackhouse did not play in the Atlanta, New York, Atlanta, 
      or Denver games due to a sore right hand.
12/13 Jerry Stackhouse did not play in the Chicago game due to a sore
      right hand.
12/7 Marquis Daniels did not play in the Minnesota game due to a
     sprained left ankle.
11/22 Dirk Nowitzki did not play in the Minnesota game due to his
      sprained left ankle.
11/21 Dirk Nowitzki suffered a sprained left ankle during the 2nd quarter
      of the Denver game and did not return.
11/19 Jason Terry (sprained right ankle), Erick Dampier (strained 
      left hip flexor), and Dan Dickau (food poisoning)  did not play 
      in the New York game.
11/16 Jason Terry left the Phoenix game during the 2nd quarter with a
      sprained left ankle and did not return.
11/16 Erick Dampier left the Phoenix game during the 1st quarter with
      a strained left hip flexor and did not return.
11/9 Michael Finley suffered a 2nd degree sprained right ankle during
     the 3rd quarter of the Orlando game and had to leave the game.
11/9 Josh Howard suffered a sprained ankle during the 1st quarter of
     the Orlando game, but was able to continue playing.
10/28 Jason Terry (wisdom teeth pulled), Michael Finley (sore
      hamstring), Derek Hood (pulled groin), Jerry Stackhouse (thigh 
      contusion), and Marquis Daniels (sprained ankle) did not play 
      in the Sacramento game.
10/26 Derek Hood suffered a pulled groin less than a minute into the
      San Antonio game.
10/26 Jason Terry (wisdom teeth pulled), Michael Finley (sore
      hamstring), Jerry Stackhouse (thigh contusion), and Marquis 
      Daniels (sprained ankle) did not play in the San Antonio game.
      Don Nelson (flu) and Del Harris (flu) also did not coach in the 
      game.
10/24 Devin Harris (stomach flu), Dan Dickau (sprained ankle),
      Marquis Daniels (sprained ankle), Michael Finley (sore 
      hamstring), and Jerry Stackhouse (thigh contusion) did not play 
      in the New York game.
10/23 Dirk Nowitzki (stomach flu), Michael Finley (sore hamstring),
      Jerry Stackhouse (thigh contusion), Marquis Daniels (sprained 
      ankle), and Dan Dickau (sprained ankle) did not play in the 
      Milwaukee game.
10/21 Dirk Nowitzki (death in family), Dan Dickau (sprained ankle),
      Marquis Daniels (sprained ankle), and Jerry Stackhouse (thigh 
      contusion) did not play in the New York game.
10/19 Dirk Nowitzki (death in family), Shawn Bradley (mild 
      concusion), Marquis Daniels (sprained ankle), and Jerry 
      Stackhouse (thigh contusion) did not play in the Milwaukee 
      game.
10/17 Dirk Nowitzki left the Orlando game at the end of the 3rd
      quarter with a mild left ankle sprain.
10/17 Jerry Stackhouse did not play in the 2nd half of the Orlando
      game due to a tight right thigh.
10/17 Marquis Daniels (sprained ankle) and Erick Dampier (tight
      hamstring and Nelson resting one of his starters) did not play 
      in the Orlando game.
10/13 Marquis Daniels (sprained ankle) did not play in the New
      Orleans game.
7/9 The Mavs revealed that Pavel Podkolzin suffered a slight
    cartilage tear in his right knee and will likely undergo minor
    surgery to repair the tear.
