Closed his 69-game career as the No. 2 ranked Seminole in school history with a .627 field goal shooting mark and third in school history with 164 career blocked shots. Totaled 82 blocked shots in both of his seasons as a Seminole and is the only player in school history with 80 or more blocked in multiple times during his career. His incredible defensive instincts allowed him to lead the Seminoles in rebounds (484, 7.0 rpg in 69 games) and blocked shots (164, 2.4 bpg in 69 career games) during both of his seasons as a Seminole. The Seminoles were considered to be among the best defensive teams in the nation with James protecting their basket on both ends of the court. The Seminoles ranked first in the nation in field goal percentage defense in 2011 (.363) and fifth in the nation in the same category in 2012 (.381). The Seminoles also ranked in the top 10 nationally in blocked shots in the both of the last two seasons - fifth in 2011 (6.0 bpg) and seventh in 2012 (6.1 bpg). James helped the Seminoles finish as the ACC leaders in both blocked shots and steals in both of his two seasons at Florida State. His career high of 19 points came in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament against Saint Bonaventure while his career high of 15 rebounds came in the Seminoles' important win at Virginia Tech on Jan. 10, 2012. His .657 field goal percentage during the 2011 season is the second best percentage for a single season in Florida State history while his .606 shooting mark in 2012 is the third highest shooting percentage for a single season in school history. Earned 24 career double-doubles during his two-year career. Averaged a near double-double of 13.6 points and 9.8 rebounds during his 52-game career at TCC. Earned All-Panhandle Conference First team honors for the second consecutive season. Led the Eagles to the championship game of the FCCAA championship game and was named to the FCCAA All-Tournament team. Averaged 16.0 points, 12.7 points and 4.3 blocked shots in the FCCAA Tournament. The Eagles runner-up finish at the FCCAA Tournament left them one game from advancing to the National Junior College Championship Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas. Averaged a double-double of 14.0 points and 10.3 rebounds while earning 13 double doubles as a sophomore in 2010. He is a former Staff Sergeant in the Air Force. Earned academic honors as was named a "Leader for Life" by the National Junior College Athletic Association during his sophomore season at TCC. His success in college has inspired his mom to work towards earning a degree from Liberty University in Christian Studies.
