Opening day rosters have been set (12 players active, maximum 3 players on
IR).  Players placed on IR must miss at least 5 games.  The 2000-01 regular
season starts tonight!!!

The NBA fined Rasheed Wallace (Por) $10,000 for failing to leave the court
in a timely manner and verbally abusing the refs following Friday's
Por-Sac game.

Atlanta placed Dikembe Mutombo (malaria), Cal Bowdler (sprained knee
ligament), and Dion Glover (fractured left foot) on IR.

Boston released John Williams.

Boston placed Greg Minor (right hip fracture), Chris Herren (sprained left 
ankle), and Walter McCarty (right knee tendinitis) on IR.

Charlotte placed Terrance Roberson (right knee tendinitis) and Lee Nailon 
(right ankle tendinitis) on IR.

Chicago released Steve Goodrich.

Chicago placed Corey Benjamin (sore left shoulder), Dalibor Bagaric (injured
right knee), and Jake Voskuhl (tendinitis left foot) on IR.

Cleveland exercised their 4th year option (2001-02) on Matt Harpring's and
Robert Traylor's contracts. 

Cleveland placed Mark Bryant (both knee tendinitis), Brevin Knight (knee
surgery), and J.R. Reid (both knee tendinitis) on IR.

Dallas placed Gary Trent (strained left adductor muscle), Donnell Harvey
(bruised elbow), and Etan Thomas (turf toe) on IR.

The LA Lakers placed Derek Fisher (stress fracture right foot), Mike
Penberthy (strained right shoulder), and Stanislav Medvedenko (tendinitis
