The LA Lakers signed Brian Shaw to a 2 year, $4.5 million contract.  Only
the 1st year is guaranteed.

Lucious Harris (NJ) underwent surgery on a hernia and will be out 6 to 8
weeks.

Matt Geiger (Phi) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to
repair a tear of the medial meniscus cartilage and will be out 4 to 6
weeks.

Phoenix released J.R. Koch and Lelan Dougal.

Vancouver signed William Cunningham, Kevin Edwards, Paul Grant, and Jeff 
Nordgaard.
