Don Nelson (Dal coach) announced that he will undergo surgery for his 
prostate cancer January 4 and will then be out 6 to 8 weeks.  He is 
scheduled to re-join the team in time for tonight's game vs Philadelphia
and will continue coaching the team through January 3.

Toronto activated Kornel David and placed Garth Joseph on IR with a
strained right groin.

San Antonio activated Derrick Dial and placed Avery Johnson on IR with a 
bruised left quad and sore left hamstring.
