David Stern named Antonio Davis (Tor) to replace Theo Ratliff (Phi) for
the All-Star game, which takes place Sunday.  Ratliff has a stress
fracture in his right wrist and is expected to be out 4 to 6 weeks.

Charlotte activated Tim James and placed Lee Nailon on IR with lower back
spasms.

New Jersey activated Jamie Feick and placed Kendall Gill on IR due to
arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

San Antonio activated Avery Johnson and placed Shawnelle Scott on IR with
tendinitis.

The CBA (Continental Basketball Association) has temporarily suspended 
operations.  The CBA is having financial problems.
