David Robinson (SA), Antawn Jamison (GS), Sam Perkins (Ind), and Chris
Whitney (Was) are the divisional winners for the Sportsmanship award.
They were selected from a list of one player from each team (nominated by
the team) by former players Phil Chenier, Eddie Johnson, Kevin Johnson,
Stu Lantz, and Kenny Smith.  The overall winner of the award will be
selected from one of the four divisional winners at a later time.

Houston activated Sean Colson and placed Maurice Taylor on IR with a sore
left and right Achilles.

Sacramento activated Nick Anderson and placed Art Long on IR with patella 
tendinitis in his right knee.
 
Kevin Lyde (junior, Temple, center) declared himself eligible for the NBA
draft.
