Paul Pierce (Bos) was upgraded to good condition following surgery to
repair a damaged lung.  Most of his stab wounds were considered
superficial, with some credit for that likely being for the fact that he
was wearing a leather jacket at the time of the attack.

Chicago signed 1st round draft pick (#4) Marcus Fizer to a 3 year,
$8,262,360 contract with a 4th year worth $3,726,994 at the team's option.

Denver signed Terry Davis.

Corie Blount (Pho) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to
repair arthritic changes and removed damaged tissue.

Utah released Bruno Sundov.
