Chicago picked up the 4th year option (02-03) for Ron Artest.

Antonio McDyess (Den) underwent surgery on his left knee to repair a
partially torn patella tendon and also had arthroscopic surgery on his
right knee to clean out loose debris.  He is expected to be out until
February.

The LA Clippers released Neil Edwards and Ansu Sesay.

New York released Ed Cota and Michael Hicks.

Sacramento released Eric Chenowith, Garth Joseph, and Mike Wilks.
