The NBA named Tim Duncan (SA) and Shareef Abdur-Rahim (Atl) as Players of
the Week.  Duncan averaged 27.0 points, 12.3 rebound and 5.7 assists as
San Antonio went 2-1.  Abdur-Rahim averaged 30.3 points and 12.3 rebounds
as Atlanta went 2-2.
 
The NBA fined Kobe Bryant (LAL) $7,500 for verbally abusing a ref and
failing to leave the court in a timely manner after he was ejected during
Friday's LAL-GS game.
 
New Jersey released Reggie Slater.

New York activated Marcus Camby and placed Larry Robinson on IR with right
patella tendinitis.

Washington activated Brendan Haywood and placed Bobby Simmons on IR with
knee tendinitis.
