Dallas signed Johnny Newman, released Ruben Wolkowyski, and placed Greg
Buckner on IR with a sore left knee.

Steve Francis (Hou) is expected to be out 4 to 6 weeks due to ruptured
plantar fascia tissue in the arch of his left foot.  As such, Houston
placed Francis on IR and activated Tierre Brown.

Boston activated Eric Williams and placed Walter McCarty on IR with a
sprained left big toe.

New Jersey signed Steve Goodrich.
