The NBA named Shaquille O'Neal (LAL) and Kurt Thomas (NY) as Players of the
Week.  O'Neal averaged 36 points and 10.7 rebounds at the Lakers went 2-1.
Thomas averaged 21 points and 13.8 rebounds as New York went 2-2.

Dallas activated Adrian Griffin and placed Evan Eschmeyer on IR with a
sore left ankle.

Chicago signed head coach Bill Cartwright to a 3 year, reported $4.5
million contract extension.  Cartwright is now signed though 04-05.
