Jamal Mashburn (Cha) is not expected to play in Sunday's Cha-NJ game due
to lingering effects from a virus and vitamin deficiency.

Lithuanian center Robertas Javtokas, who was selected in the 2nd round
last year by San Antonio, was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident.
He suffered a crushed thigh bone and his shoulder, knee, and kidneys were
injured.  He is in serious, but stable condition.

Amare Stoudemire (high school senior, Cypress Creek High School (FL), 
forward-center) declared himself eligible for the NBA draft.  [thanks to Jed

Paul Pierce (Bos) had 46 points including 16-25 FG and 8-10 3-pointers and
6 assists.
Dikembe Mutombo (Phi) had 12 points including 2-6 FG, 6 rebounds, and 3
blocks.
Allen Iverson (Phi) had 31 points including 4-7 3-pointers.
Bos shot 54.1% (46-85) FG and Phi shot 39.4% (28-71) FG.

face Detroit.

Tim Duncan (SA) had 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 blocks.
Malik Rose (SA) had 18 points and 13 rebounds.
Tony Parker (SA) had 15 points including 3-4 3-pointers and 5 rebounds.
Steve Smith (SA) had 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Gary Payton (Sea) had 23 points including 8-26 FG, 9 rebounds, and 5
assists.
Brent Barry (Sea) had 12 points on 4-6 3-pointers and 6 rebounds.
SA shot 45.9% (39-85) FG and Sea shot 34.1% (29-85) FG.
David Robinson (SA, lower back sprain), Charles Smith (SA, mild sprained
right shoulder), and Rashard Lewis (Sea, partially separated left 
shoulder) did not play.
San Antonio takes the series 3-2 and advances to the 2nd round where they
will face the LA Lakers.
