An agreement was eventually reached and the salary cap for 2001-02 is $42.5 million. TRADE: Detroit traded a 2002 2nd round draft pick to Toronto for the rights to Zeljko Rebraca (whose rights they received in a 1999 trade). TRADE: New Jersey traded Stephon Marbury, Johnny Newman, and Soumaila Samake to Phoenix for Jason Kidd and Chris Dudley.
