Hakeem Olajuwon (Tor) formally announced his retirement from the NBA.
Houston, for whom Olajuwon played for from 84-85 to 00-01, retired 
Olajuwon's #34 during halftime of Saturday's GS-Hou game.

Dallas activated Popeye Jones and placed Raef LaFrentz on IR with a
sprained right ankle.  Jones is still bother by back spasms and probably
will be unavailable for 10 to 14 days.

Atlanta released Antonio Harvey and activated Chris Crawford.
