News from March 31.

The NBA named Tim Duncan (SA) and Richard Jefferson (NJ) as Players of the
Week.  Duncan averaged 29.8 points and 11 rebounds as San Antonio went 4-0.
Jefferson averaged 26.3 points and 5.3 rebounds as New Jersey went 3-0.

Michael Finley (Dal), Ray Allen (Sea), Allan Houston (NY), and P.J. Brown
(NO) were named as the Divisional winners for the Sportsmanship Award.  A
panel of 5 former players selected the divisional winners from one player
from each (with the team submitting the nominee).  The media will vote 
later from amongst the 4 divisional winners for the overall winner of the
Sportsmanship Award.

New Jersey signed Donny Marshall for the rest of the season and placed him
on IR with a strained right groin and activated Tamar Slay.

Rasheed Wallace (Por) and prosecutors agreed to a settlement of Wallace
having to attend drug counseling, pay a $650 fine, and stay out of legal 
trouble for 6 months in return for having a misdemeanor marijuana 
possession charge dropped.

Qyntel Woods (Por) was cited for speeding (going 85 mph in a 55 zone), not
having a drivers license, not having car insurance, and possessing less than
an ounce of marijuana.

Kenny Thomas (Phi) had 24 points including 10-16 FG and 20 rebounds
including 12 offensive.
Derrick Coleman (Phi) had 18 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Allen Iverson (Phi) had 42 points including 10-14 FT, 6 rebounds, 6 assists,
3 steals, and 5 turnovers in 50 minutes.
Tracy McGrady (Orl) had 39 points on 13-33 FG and 11-16 FT, 10 rebounds, 9
assists, and 3 steals.
Steven Hunter (Orl) had 15 points including 6-7 FG, 7 rebounds, and 5
blocks.

Stanislav Medvedenko (LAL) had 11 points and 6 rebounds.
Shaquille O'Neal (LAL) had 34 points including 15-22 FG, 11 rebounds, and 4
blocks.
Kobe Bryant (LAL) had 29 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, and 6 steals.
Pau Gasol (Mem) had 22 points including 9-16 FG and 10 rebounds.
Lorenzen Wright (Mem) had 14 points including 5-14 FG, 15 rebounds, and 5
assists.
