The NBA announced the All-Rookie teams.  The teams were selected (regardless
of position) by the 29 coaches who were asked to select 5 rookies for the
1st team and 5 for the 2nd team (and couldn't vote for their own players).
A 1st team vote was worth 2 points and a 2nd place vote was worth 1 point.

Washington announced that Michael Jordan will not be retained as president
of basketball operations.

Jeff Bower resigned as GM of New Orleans to become an assistant men's
basketball coach at Penn State.

Bob Whitsitt resigned as president and GM of Portland.  He remains as
president of the Seattle Seahawks (NFL), also owned by Paul Allen.

Rob Smith (junior, North Carolina Wesleyan, forward), Victor Khryapa 
(born in 1982, Russia, forward), Kresimir Loncar (born in 1983, Croatia,
center), Misan Nikagbatse (born in 1982, Germany, guard), and Blagota 
Sekulic (born in 1982, Serbia, forward) declared themselves eligible for the
NBA draft.  May 12 is the deadline for underclassmen or foreign players
