Chicago signed 1st round draft pick Jay Williams (#2) to a 3 year,
$11,132,520 contract with a 4th year worth $5,009,787 at the team's
option.

Washington signed 1st round draft pick Jared Jefferies (#11) to a 3 year,
$5,143,440 contract with a 4th year worth $2,433,824 at the team's option.

Clifford Robinson (Det) pleaded guilty to misdemeanor marijuana possession
charges and was sentenced to 12 months probation, fined $750, and ordered
to complete 24 hours of community service.  Robinson was arrested in
February 2001.

Bostjan Nachbar (Hou draft pick) is scheduled to under go hernia surgery.
He is expected to be ready by training camp.

Denver named Jeff Bzdelik as an assistant coach.
