Chicago signed Corie Blount to a 1 year, $1.4 million contract.

Former NBA player Phil smith passed away after a long bout with bone
marrow cancer.  He was 50 years old.  Smith played 9 seasons in the NBA
from 74-75 - 82-83, including 6 seasons with Golden State and was on their
1975 championship team.
