News from September 23.

Restricted free agent Michael Olowokandi accepted the LA Clippers' 1 year,
$6,061,213 qualifying offer.  He will be an unrestricted free agent next
summer.

Restricted free agent Eddie House accepted Miami's 1 year, $770,000
qualifying offer.

Phoenix named Tim Grgurich as an assistant coach.

Toronto named Jay Triano and Dick Helm as assistant coaches.  Jim Brewer
resigned as assistant coach.  [And apparently Stan Albeck was not 
retained as an assistant.]
 
Mateen Cleaves (Sac) underwent surgery on his left foot to have a pin
inserted.  His foot will be in a walking boot for 4 weeks.

Orlando signed Corey Benjamin, Omar Cook, and Obinna Ekezie.

The LA Lakers signed Nick Sheppard.  [thanks to Jed Tai]

Atlanta signed Mario Bennett, Antonio Harvey, Fred House, Maurice Carter,
Paul Shirley, and George Williams.

Indiana signed Oliver Miller, Rodney Smith, Rolan Roberts, and Nate Green.

[Note: with training camp starting next week, teams are starting to fill
out their training camp rosters.  A lot of the players that you'll hear
about signing with a team over the next week are purely training camp
fodder - signed to 1 year, non-guaranteed contracts and highly likely to
be cut before the regular season starts.]
