The Basketball Hall of Fame inducted Magic Johnson, Larry Brown, Lute
Olson, Drazen Petrovic, Kay Yow, and the Harlem Globetrotters.

The Boston Celtics were sold to an investment group for $360 million.  The
group is led by Stephen Pagliuca, Wycliffe Grousbeck, and H. Irving
Grousbeck.  The sale of the team has to be approved by the league Board of
Governors.

Former NBA player Bison Dele (the former Brian Williams) is missing and
presumed dead.  Dele was last heard from 2 months ago while on a boating
trip in the Pacific with his girlfriend Serena Karlan and the boat's
skipper Bertrand Saldo, both also missing, and brother Miles Dabord.
Dabord died early this morning (Saturday) after being in a coma since
September 14 from a suspected self-inflicted insulin overdoes.  The
investigation into Dele's disapparence continues, but the facts as to what
actually happened will likely never be known.

Dallas signed Kipp Christianson and Derek Hood to 1 year, non-guaranteed
contracts.

Elton Brand (LAC) is expected to be out 3 to 4 weeks after undergoing
arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

Denver released Mark Jackson.

The LA Clippers signed Tremaine Fowlkes and Cherokee Parks.

Phoenix signed Dan Langhi.

Utah signed Anthony Bonner, Joe Vogel, Malik Dixon, Paul Grant, Michael
Smith.
 
Philadelphia signed William Avery.

New York signed Todd Lindeman, Tim James, and Jemail Rich.

San Antonio signed Joe White, Eric Riley, and Duane Causwell.
